Seizures Film Opening

My Sound Analysis/Evaluation
By Kia Gangadeen

Final Sound Track- created by Keri and Alice.

This is a screen shot of the second sound track myself and alice made. As a group we decided to remake the sound as we didn't think the right tension or emotions was being built from the first sound track, We decided to add in a lot more atmospheric recorded sounds such as; footsteps and heavy breathing, so that the audience would get a greater understanding as to where the opening was set. We kept the Emotional sound loop that Kia had initially placed within the sound track as we all agreed we liked that loop and it built emotion within our film. As a group i think we are all really happy with the second sound and it for fills the requirements we have put together as a group, where being what we wanted to get from the sound within our film.

Editing
Screen shots of editing.
Here are a few screen shots of our final edit.

As editor i had to initially create a rough cut where i put the clips in a rough order and felt the clips without precisely cutting them together.
Once the whole group was happy with the rough cut i then moved on to begin the official cut.
This meant i had to be very precise when cutting together clips so that the transitions worked and the opening flowed.

As a group we had trouble when first editing together our film as we were not very happy with the first edit. We all collectively felt that it wasnt believible and that the objects we wanted to for fill werent being done,
We they decided to make a new rough cut changing are inital idea, this worked and we then produced our final peice that we are all very happy with.

Looking back at our opening now, there are still some mistakes and changes we could of made and if we had more time to think and look a little closer at deciding on more intricate transitions and ideas.

Test Shoot
By Alice Driver and Lacey Ruttley

Overall I think the test shoot turned out really well. We shot most of the scenes that needed to be recored to see if they were possible to do and to see if it ran smoothly.
However there were a few shoots that we couldn't record due to not having the right equipment : Shot 6 of the leaf rolling along the floor. We needed to have a fan to achieve this.
